At the root of who we are is a church: a group of people who are following Jesus and sharing life together in community.  The reason why our name is “The Haven” is because we believe that God is building a place where people will find Him, experience the life that He offers and never be the same.  But we’re not just a weekly church service.  Jesus prayed, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.  The Haven is to be seen as a center for community, personal growth (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, social).

Our Mission: Lives changing.

How?  By experiencing and sharing God's love both individually and corporately.  To clarify, we believe that God is alive and well today.  Because of this He is still in the same life changing business that He was in when He walked the face of the earth 2000 years ago.  At The Haven we are experiencing His life changing power from within.  We see this not only in our own lives but in the lives of others.

Let's be honest, some Christians believe that it is their job to judge others, convict others and change others.  At The Haven, we believe that we have no right to judge others and that it is only the Holy Spirit who can bring about conviction and change in a person's life.  With this realization, the playing field of life is leveled.  Judgement goes out the window as we realize that we're all on a journey.  As a church community we're excited to experience God within, leading us on the journey of life.  Leading us to a place where we are learning to live in the Spirit... to be filled with the Spirit so as to be free from the sinful nature that so easily entangles our lives.

If any part of this above statement appeals to you, we invite you to join us.  Whether it be in a mid-week small group, connecting at a social gathering or joining us weekly at our worship gathering (aka church).

In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments or points of clarification, please don't hesitate to ask!

Blessings on the journey!

The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us.
